I am reviewing the 2017 (newest) version of the Beauty and the Beast movie. You can find the movie on YouTube for $2.99. You can also watch this version on Google Play Movies & TV, Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, and Vudu with the price ranging from 3-4 dollars. As I was looking through the reviews I noticed there were a lot of bad reviews. At first, I was surprised. Then I looked on this website called rottentomatos.com and saw that 71% of people gave it tomatoes (thumbs down). This research makes me not want to watch the movie anymore. But you never know I may like it.

This version of Beauty and the Beast took more of a mystical and graphic turn. There was a selfish prince that got turned into "the beast" by an old woman who was a beautiful angel. He can only be freed from the beast's body by having a true love pretty or not. Belle is that true love who the beast imprisoned. Over the time of the movie, the Beast started to become a better person. Sadly, there was another selfish prince in the movie. His name was Gaston. He wanted to marry Belle only because she was pretty, not because he liked her amazing personality. When Gaston found out that the Beast and Belle were in love, he wanted to kill the beast because he was jealous that Belle loved the beast and not him. Fortunately, the Beast won against Gaston and got to kiss Belle before the last rose petal fell. Since Belle kissed the Beast, the Beast got to turn back into a human and learned a lesson that looks don’t matter.

The visuals from the movie were very cool and detailed. It made the movie more engaging. The storyline of this version of Beauty and the Beast was different than the original. The storyline was more mystical than the original version. I would say that the clarity of the movie was pretty good. Although I did get confused at some parts of the movie, overall it was clear of what the movie was about. I think that the performance of the actors was good. I wasn't amazed by the acting but, the

stunts were cool and it takes lots of work to do that. Overall I think the quality of this movie was good just not amazing.

These are the pros and cons I saw in the movie. I would say some of the pros would be the detailed visuals, the acting, and the storyline. I say these three because they all made me want to watch the movie. I could only think of one con and that is how graphic the movie was. The movie was very graphic especially to younger audiences from 3-7 years old. As you can see there were a lot of pros from me. Overall I saw more pros than cons but maybe I missed some cons or pros you never know I probably did miss some.

Overall I think this version of Beauty and the Beast was a good movie. Although I would not keep watching this movie. I would advise only people 8 and over to watch this movie. It was graphic and more mature than the original version of the movie. I would give this movie a thumbs up. The movie did have some flaws but overall I think it was a good movie that I would only watch one time.
