The year 2020 started great, I had a lot of fun at the beginning of the year. School was going well, and I was having a lot of fun in Gymnastics, I was having fun because I had good teachers and it was a new year in Gymnastics. Towards the middle of the school year, we had to go into quarantine because of COVID-19. Lots of things got canceled and there was no more school or Gymnastics practice, I also had a couple of vacations that were canceled. As I am reflecting on this year it was not completely bad or completely good, it was just 50 percent bad and 50 percent good.
The beginning of the year was good, the teachers were nice, and I was starting a new level in Gymnastics. I was excited about starting level 7 in Gymnastics because there were a bunch of new skills and it was cool to learn them. School was fun we started in a mini classroom because we did not have a lot of kids in our grade, there were only 9 kids. 2 boys, and 7 girls. Later on, they moved us into the 6th-grade classroom.
In school, we started to learn stuff the 6th graders were learning because we were now in their class. It was a fun and cool experience to be in the 6th-grade class. I liked learning a grade ahead because you could learn stuff other kids were not learning yet. Gymnastics was also really cool because I started to learn how to twist, twisting is doing a spin to your right or left while doing a flip.
The end of the school year was nearing, because of COVID-19, we had to go into quarantine. I had a couple of Gymnastics competitions canceled (the two biggest competitions state and regionals) I was really upset because this is the thing all of us were looking forward to. In quarantine started to do online school, it was hard at first because the teachers were trying to adjust. We had a lot of schoolwork getting piled on because the teachers were still trying to figure out what amount of work to give us. After a couple of weeks, we had all adjusted to online schooling. Now the school year is at an end.
My reflection on the year shows that it was not all bad there was some good in it. While we are still in quarantine, we should all try to look to the bright side of things. Being ungrateful and focusing on the negativity will only make your situation worse. There is always some good in your situation.
