Also, dogs bark a lot as a welcoming when people come in. This might not be appealing for the guest and could make him/her uncomfortable.

The third reason that you should get a cat instead of a dog is because cats keep pests away. For example, rodents like mice are a cat’s favorite! So, you do not have to worry about any rodents in your house. Also, they are pretty fast, so catching the mice will not be a problem for the cat either.
