German Shepherds, one of the most popular dogs in the US make great workers for possibly any job. Even though there most important job is to love you! This is no ordinary dog; they thrive in serving your commands. Also, hard work and training of your GSD will show through undying companionship.


GSD's have a medium-length, double coat. Having a dense, harsh, and close-lying outer coat with a softer undercoat. According to AKC there coat shedding is regular. Although some owners say that there GSD only sheds seasonally, but still see some hairs here and there.

The GSD is no couch potato, they need regular exercise. German Shepherds require lots of exercise for mental and physical wellbeing. If not exercised well enough, will become more frustrating and cause undesirable behaviors. For pup's, you can go on walks and play with toys in a well fenced area.


Their trainability level is eager to please because of their vast intelligence. Socialization and puppy training classes are vital. It will help ensure that they are adaptable to their surroundings and well mannered. Reward based training will come out to have amazing results. It will help them be a great companion and an extraordinary worker.

These shepherds have a long and hard history of fighting wars and serving nations. They did serve as war dogs but slowly changed names as they became the defender of herds. Proudly protecting flocks from unwanted predators as a loyal guardian. During ww1 GSD's mainly served as messengers, helping soldiers communicate on the battlefield. While also working as guard, search, and rescue dogs during the war. Not to long after the war there were many wounded veterans, so they were now being trained and used as eye seeing dogs for blind veterans. All in all, they are your go to dog and will spring into action if needed.



Did you now that things from actors to police officers German Shepherds are a great addition to anything. They were originally bred during ww1 as a war dog, when American soldiers brought them back from Germany. Besides their hardworking past

in present day they are providing family dogs and are a great addition to any family. Therefore, German Shepherds are the ultimate edition to your home.
