Wearing face masks should be a requirement at any essential stores so that it can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 or any other viruses. On a scale of 1-10, I think that the use of implementing face masks in public would be 7.5. People should take wearing face masks more seriously.

The use of face masks wouldn't cure the virus, but it would help prevent it. Viruses can't only be caught by being air born, but by what you touch. This means that it can be contaminated by touching hard surfaces that have other germs from people that touched it before. Therefore, it is important to wear gloves and to consistently put on hand sanitizer. It is very important to keep medical supplies with you in case of a pandemic.

What do face masks do? Face masks help keep other people's germs away from you. Most of the time when someone talks, spit comes out of their mouth. Sometimes it lands on other people or hard surfaces. This is how some people get sick, but if you wear a face mask then your chances of getting sick are very low. So, when you talk and spit would usually come out of your mouth, it won't because the face mask would block it. It would also block other people's spit from getting to you. Face masks are very important.

I think that the type of face mask that your wearing should depend on where you're going. If you're going to place that has a lot of public interaction, then you should wear a medical/surgical face mask. That would be places like going to any essential stores or any parks. If you're going through a drive through, getting takeout, or going somewhere where there's less public interaction then you could wear a cloth face mask. I would strongly suggest that you should wear a face mask whenever you go somewhere.

If you wear a face mask it can influence other people to also wear face masks. If everyone in stores wore a face mask, then the virus could be gone sooner. This would happen because the chances of more people getting sick would get lower. You could help your community and others in need if you do the right thing. Wear a face mask.
