Quarantine has gotten many people to try many different hobbies. For example, creating things, painting, working out, gardening, etc. Some people enjoy their new hobby, and some don't. A hobby that many people mess up on, or enjoy is gardening. Many people hate gardening because no matter how much they try, they can't grow anything.ON the other hand, some people have green thumbs. Gardening is a hobby that takes perseverance and patience. It is also very easy to give up on it. In this article, you will know what some of the pros and cons of having a garden is.

It is said that gardening is good for mental health. “Digging and puttering works out tension, calms the mind, counteracts anxiety, and may even help to release a little anger or frustration.” Gardening calms the mind and helps our bodies produce serotonin. Serotonin is an important chemical in your body. Although gardening is known to calm your mind, some people get really stressed out. For example, their plants may have died, or it didn’t produce anything. For some people, the things you garden are very good for your body. Eating food from your own garden is good for you because there are no additional things on the fruit or vegetable. Many fruits are sprayed with unhealthy stuff to make it taste good.

Some people may think that there are no cons of gardening, but that is wrong. Gardening could take a long time and could trigger someone that is impatient. Gardening is not an overnight thing, it could take months. Often, people plant things out of their season. Some plants only bloom in their own season. Gardening could also do serious damage to your joints. Kneeling, bending down, etc. Gardening is not cheap either. You have to buy plants and fertilizer, and the good ones cost a bit of money. Certain fertilizers cost $0.39 per pound. These are a few of the cons of gardening.

To conclude, gardening has a bright side and a downside. Although it has a few cons, gardening is a very good hobby. It has more pros than cons and is a good way to keep you busy during quarantine. It could also benefit your health and is a good activity to do with kids. Although it has a lot of benefits, it could hurt you. Make sure that you do not kneel or bend for too long while you garden because it could hurt some of your joints. Be careful when you buy different plants, and fertilizers because some could rip you off. As you can see, gardening is a good and fun hobby that you should probably try out.
