"Skyview" App Review by Judah

I am reviewing Sky View. Sky View is an easy to use app that lets you stargaze the universe around us. I like the app because it is very simple and very resourceful. The app has few problems, but it does what it is supposed to do. It has many uses like education, stargazing, seeing constellations, and many more. It has a lot of content that can entertain you for days. The app is well made and looks pleasing. I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to stargaze from the comfort of their home.

Uses

Sky View has many uses like education about learning about constellations, planets, stars, and how the universe works. Another thing that helps with learning is that they give you a description and fun facts as you go over a planet, stars, etc to help you learn about those items. Another use is Stargazing because when we are in these trying times, we cannot go outside all the time to see the stars so we can use technology and apps to do this. Sky view also shows Planets, stars, constellations, satellites, rocket bodies, and more. So, you can see everything in the universe.

Design

The design of the app is simple and clean and is not so crazy. The app uses Augmented reality which is neat but sometimes can be messy. The app also does a good job with the settings page and separates each category neatly so you can find what you are looking for.

There is also a button that lets you find a specific planet or star and shows you where it is which is very useful. The app also gives you a compass, so you know which way your facing.

Problems

The app is very well made but there are still problems that need to be fixed. One problem that I see is that the Augmented reality is slightly off. Whenever I am using the app at night, I can notice that the moon is slightly off in the app then is in real life. Which is fine but I would like it to be improved. One feature that I think should be added is to turn off the augmented reality because it can be messy with your background. A simple fix that I have been doing is putting my hand over the camera, so it is completely black. Overall, that is the only complaint I have.

Conclusion

Overall, the app is very useful and a good educational app. It has many uses There are problems, but they are small, but they make up for it in other features. The app is fun and has lots of content. I would give the app a 4/5 because it has problems, but it is a very useful app to have.
