This day and age can be influenced by anything; may that be to try out the latest dances or trends or getting 18.6 million people to like a picture of an egg. There are these people called "Social media influencers" such as Ariana Grande, James Charles, David Dobrik, and of course Charli D'amelio. So, you're asking what or how do these "Influencers" change the world around us? Well, they can influence you in many ways such as, what you wear, your interests, what products you purchase, and how you view society and yourself.

If you scroll through your social media platforms you may see either famous people you recognize or new people. When you see somebody on you for you page they are usually perfect or perceived that way. But what is perfect? Perfect could be being skinny, and having long hair, or it could be your kindness and generosity. Nobody is perfect and we're all humans, we all have a chance to get big and popular!

Just because you see something on the internet or on social media doesn't mean it is true. Sometimes you can tell if something is fake and sometimes you can't. There are many different ways to fake something, may that be using photoshop or spreading rumors. Sometimes people change things because of their insecurities but sometimes people do it to show off.

The way social media influences can change the way we think is crazy. If they put up a poll asking what color shirt they wear ((blue or pink)) and they talk about the ocean and blue things in the caption it will make the audience want to click blue. They can change the way you perceive things by what they say. You can choose to be the influencer or the influencee, which will it be?

As you can see social media is changing our lives and the world around us every day. You can choose to be the influencer or the influencee. Remember that not everything you see on the internet is true. And to be yourself and if you want to change make sure it's for you and not for anybody else.
