Recently lots of opinions have been thrown around about video games. One of the most common ones being that "video games cause violence." I'm not going to be talking about that because there have already been numerus studies saying that video games do not in fact cause violence. We all know that they are bad to some extent, but could they be good?

Are video games being bad for your health? Well everything can be bad for your heath if you have too much. Like you can kill yourself by drinking water. So, if you are playing videogames in moderation then that will be much better than sitting at your computer 9 hours a day. Another of evidence that most people say is "video games are bad for your eyes." A lot of blue light can be bad for your eyes but if you are not staring at your PC 24 hours a day it will not hurt at all. Take for example a study from www.essilorusa.com, this trustable source say that video games might be helpful and train your eyes.

So, this is just a personal thing, but I think that video games can be very helpful for educational purposes. I got Minecraft back in 2013. Minecraft did teach me a lot of things. Here is a list: it taught me that Leather comes from cows, what a "beacon" means, what a Pickaxe and an axe is, That milk comes from cows, Coal can be fuel, what a cave is, and even how to use a computer. All these things were taught to me by a videogame.

With the rise of so many online communities you can very easily fine people that have the same hobbies and interests as you. So instead of being a lot at school were everyone else likes different things, and you have no friends. Take to the internet were you can find people similar to you.

In conclusion I think that video games are not the work of the devil. They are a fun form of entertainment that gets millions engaged in a story or common goal.
